The correspondence documents Moreno's efforts to develop feature-length animation in the Mexican film industry at the height of its Golden Age. It gives insight into the role of Mexicans and Mexican Americans who worked in Hollywood during the 1920s and 1930s. There are numerous sketches and artwork, some photographs, some film footage, film strips, and home movies (all the film material has been restored).

A cartoonist and animator who in the mid-1920s created comic strips for newspapers in Los Angeles and Mexico before starting to work in animation with Winkler Productions in 1928.
